Some of these crimes only have two to three day intervals.

And then there are places whose names are notorious for lynchings and other atrocities that we are numb to any news that comes from these areas. Some common phrases heard about these places are ‘Oh as for Nima,’ ‘Kasoa deɛɛ…’ ‘Gomoa nso deɛ…’ etc.

And then there is the North of Ghana, where security is as scarce as rain water. The Northern, Upper West and Upper East regions, rely heavily on outmoded beliefs and practices, using brute force and ever so praised toxic behaviours in men to combat not just crime but anything their ignorance and limited beliefs harmfully declares untrue or un-cultural, eschewing scientific and logical evidence.

Religion plays a vital role in all of this. It is indeed a cancer that rots the mind and blinds the eye until eventually your heart stops working like a normal human who can appreciate love and life. @tv3_ghana

I repeat, Ghana is at the precipice of reaping the wickedness we’ve groomed through silence. The LGBTQ+ community won’t be its only victims. The so called ‘ordinary ghanaian’ is doomed too.

The glimmer of hope I got creating this post is the term ‘serial abuser’. I’m happy to know that at least one blogger somewhere is able to diagnose a problem and see a pattern too.

Is this the culture and values you are protecting to protect women and children, @samgeorgegh ?
